An industrial Ball Float Steam Trap prevents condensate from entering a steam system in industrial environments. It consists of a round steel float that floats in a water tank. When the oil in the tank heats up, the water surrounding it rises, creating a vacuum that pulls the oil out of the tank. This type of trap ensures that condensate does not contaminate the piping system and helps prevent damage to equipment and pipes caused by condensate. It can also be used to drain water from the pipes or tanks. They are typically used to prevent condensate from entering piping systems, but they can also be used as drain traps (to empty tanks) or drain plugs (to seal sinks).
